The hard stages have some pyros on the map to collect and you get some more from achievements by doing the normal ones but other than that no reason to bother with it.

Go back and do them when you're way over levelled and got excess stamina to burn. You can choose to skip every fight except the boss so it's not that much work.

Would you rather:

Or
>have your favourite student look you in the eye, pamper you, call you a good boy and tell you how proud of you she is and hold your hand while the two of you do something that genuinely makes both of you happy like talk about your futures together
