Whatever you are doing to whatever car, break out some fucking nickels and buy jack stands. Jack the car completely off the ground. Remove all of the wheels. There is so much extra space to swing wrenches, especially on suspension or brake work. There is so much extra light because the car isn't right next to the ground and the wheels aren't filling the fenders.

Just jack the fucking thing up.
