I'll be honest, I don't think it's possible for Disney to appeal to males at this point.
Not only have they never really been much of a brand for males, but when they went out and bought male-oriented properties they ruined them all and turned them either into shit or shit aimed at women and gay guys.
Plus, cartoons in general are facing an uphill battle when it comes to appealing to young men these days, they've spent the last decade scrubbing out all of the things young men would like about cartoons and trying to appeal exclusively to gays and women (and gay women). Put simply, webm related is the modern cartoon audience, this is what most people think of now when they hear about an adult who watches cartoons, because this is the audience they've cultivated.
And at this point, I think it's too late to break away from that, especially when it comes to adults.
