One big problem with doing anything with a PDP Versus is there's a limited supply. I went with Saturn shells because they're cheap and plentiful and will probably continue to be made for years. If you did want to mod a PDP Versus you'd want to replace the whole PCB. Fucking around with finding parts that fit would be a huge waste of time and the PCB is cheap shit anyway.

Panther made a Saturn controller with a microstick. The stick is the same as the NGCD, they're interchangeable. If you remove the support ring for the dpad in a Saturn controller the stick fits. The problem with the original stick is that it's designed to use tact switches that are difficult to find (iirc 9mm). I made a variation of my clone stick that uses 6mm switches, which are easy to find. You can even use just the cap to mod an original NGCD stick to use 6mm switches. I also made another design that places the switches inside the dpad support ring. The stick module is a bit more complicated but requires no modification to the shell.
