/pol/ was wrong about Brutalism.
It is top-tier building design.
For years I bought into your bullshit. “muh concrete communist blocks,” “soulless modernism,” “looks like a prison.”
And then I stood beneath one.
A real Brutalist building. Cold wind slicing through the geometry like the breath of God through a megaphone. Raw concrete slabs rising like the bones of a civilization that refused to hide its structure behind frilly façades. It didn’t pretend to be pretty. It was honest.
You know what’s actually soulless? Your fake Georgian housing estates made of styrofoam cladding and lies. Your plastic cuck cottages with UPVC windows and roofs that’ll crumble faster than your whore mom gives out.
Brutalism doesn’t beg you to love it. It stands there, staring at you like a judge. And in that judgment, you feel small, but real.
There are no “shit tests” in Brutalism. No deceit. Just right angles, rebar, and concrete confidence.
The so-called “ugly” is outweighed by the sheer honesty of the form.
Fuck you, /pol/. You don’t deserve Le Corbusier. You don’t deserve Ernő Goldfinger.
Go find a Brutalist building and sit beneath it in the rain. Let it humble you.
