I used to run/jog in a linear mode, but I switched to running circles on a 400m flat stretch of a basically abandoned road. That way I can take my stuff with me, including toilet paper, and if I get the urge just relieve myself in the nearest bush. I'm very shit shy. Also it means I can run ultra light, no shirt, phone or keys etc. Empty road is also nice for ultrafast bursts. Just wanted to share that.
