Yeah at the end of the episode Pikes girlfriend says "my love is stronger than your darkness" and kills the eyeless bad guy and turns herself into a statue/prison warden which will guard the prison of the evil spirits for all eternity.

I'm completely unclear as to whether she also experienced Pikes Inner Light ripoff. They did not explain it other than it was Pike got to experience a lifetime where he didn't get blowd up sir, but then he got snapped back to reality and will have to get blowd up sir.
Seems like Pike will not get to escape his fate. But on the plus side that means he gets to live his life out on Talos IV experiencing all manner of perfectly convincing hallucinations alongside the blonde chick.

On another note, Nurse Chapel was cute as a redhead. It was weird that she was back to blonde immediately after coming back from the planet.
