Maybe she should have been a better actress. Diana Muldaur absolutely mogged her and was active in demanding better scenes. Not con payment related but Muldaur was the highest paid actor on TNG which pissed off all her coworkers. McFadden's failure to be a more popular actor/character in order to get more pay isn't sexism--it's her failure as a professional. She sucked! Nobody likes her! That's why she gets paid less.
