One of the first things you hear her say and then you see this shit like it was some kind of foreshadowing. So it seems like she could have some kind of 'Agatha All Along' backstory where she'd know, but then the skin tone, accent, and social media proficiently points more to some kind of modern brat with maybe 'Wiccan' type witchcraft or something, (but that actually works).

She seems to love being an evil bitch so much I can't imagine her having any kind of redemption story, yet I suspect the resolution of the whole show is going to be EXACTLY as per Charlie's original plan in the pilot:

Assuming that's the case then literally EVERYONE has some kind of a redemption arc, (unless they are irredeemably evil and have to be killed along the way to get that final result). But I just can't see any kind of redemption for Velvette. I can't even hazard a guess, anyone got any ideas?

I'd say the females in Hazbin generally are well-written in that regard. Just her critiquing the hotel décor was fun to watch and satisfyingly consistent with her schtick.
