I would do that if it were mine, but it's a gift to a friend and I needed something in a pinch. It's a sunburst so the yellow looks pretty decent, I definitely wouldn't try it with other finishes.

The plastic originally looked like picrel. Pretty bad. Seems like the Squier factory isn't matching their off-the-shelf 'aged' parts.
