The Cautionary Tale of Hayville
Most citizens of Equestria have never heard of Hayville, or if they have, regard it as a myth. A number of texts, secured deep within the private library of Princess Celestia reveal that Hayville was indeed once a real location. It's downfall, sourced from these same carefully guarded texts, is told here for the first time.
Background
Hayville was founded some 200 years A.C. (after Celestia) and fell in approx. 590 A.C. It's former location - now untamed forest which has reclaimed the land - is some 120 km northeast of the present day town of Ponyville. Hayville at the time was located in fertile valley. By 350 A.C. it was ruled by Queen Satinhoof, a benevolent ruler who oversaw a bustling community of some 3000 ponies. A surviving census recorded in 380 A.C. gives a population total of 3,150 with 2,327 mares and 823 stallions, a sex ratio roughly consistent with current Equestria. As with current Equestria, the sex ratio meant that many mares would take multiple mates, and/or enter into lesbian relationships, although as now monogamous heterosexual pairings were not uncommon.
1,345 were Earth Ponies, 987 were Unicorns, 817 were Pegasi, and a single one - Queen Satinhoof - was Alicorn. Again, these ratios roughly correspond with current Equestian demographics.

Isn't it odd that most of these "complaints" never use a pony image
