It is but at the same time I can see why he did it, there's no artist behind the song, no one to take credit and attention, the music is all you get, focus on it and cherish it for what it is, a love letter to pony, from no one in particular. Also it drives offboarders mad, they can't point at the artist and say it's bad for unrelated shit like they do with everything else, they have to criticize the music on it's own merits and only that, and that's when they stumble, they either show they have a normalfag taste in music that can be promptly ignored, or that they never really understood pony on the first place, and can be mocked for that

if it were not for sgap I would not be into pony today. I listened to the odd song or two of his back in the day but I didnt really get it. When we had all of these nostalgia threads being posted around the time the show ended his name kept getting brought up so i eventually delved into his stuff, and my waning interest in ponies was fully cemented. it's so fucking beautiful man. he's the only person i've ever listened to where i love every single song that was put out. shit is so enthralling and 100% gave me a deeper appreciation for music as a whole + introduced me to so many other artists, pony or otherwise.

hope he is doing well, wherever he may be. i hope one day to make someone feel even a tenth of the feelings his music gave me. :)

The voice is an acquired taste, but I won't deny that it's not the best part of his music, that's why a lot of people say that The Standard Model was his magnum opus. Personally I think it fits songs like E48, Dashy/Hearth's Warming Eve or Space Pony

Why do people hate Never Never Never so much? In many SGAP discussions I see a lot of people call it one of his worst songs or they just simply dislike it. I think it's really fucking weird and interesting, and one of my favorites. It's odd nature and distance from his usual style I found very interesting when i heard it for the first time.
