[All this is assuming you have hardmods installed]
going on an adventure to nowhere the getting side-tracked through a cave system that takes you to a completely new area
You can't really get lost, but you can very much get stranded which makes "going out" an ordeal you have to prepare for.
Camping Kits are heavy as fuck, so either you or a pawn have to carry it. Y
BUT you can lose access to your camping kits if the pawns die so it's a balance that's fun to strike.
Carry Limits can be really tight so you have to be managing your gear and weight before and during every outing.
I love selecting the hired Pawns (feels like hiring adventures), making sure their kits fit my needs, and rekitting my pawn to make sure she gets hired too.
The combat is fun and very scary when you're fighting beefed up enemies and shit like Goreharpies. It turns into more "swashbuckling" with you knocking enemies down, throwing crates, or throwing them into each other.

There literally isn't any other game that does it like this.
