There's a lot I love about the West and my time living in America, but it's lost a lot of its luster since then. The more I'm around my own people, the more I understand how important is for a cohesive society to have that. Some groups uniquely get along better than others, I think this is the case with Whites and Asians. But neither can just let in the riffraff of either willy nilly.

I only live in the city but places like Hua Hin and Koh Pangan/Koh Tao are always nice. Phuket is full of Russians and probably Israelis now. Look for rural niche cafes, they're all over the country and have really fun themes and gimmicks like buffalo ranches and curated gardens.
