>he somehow watched the movie without realising there is no distinction between dream and reality in the film and the waking scenes are absurd and unreal on purpose to drive home the fact that it's impossible for Nancy to know what is real and what is fake
Did Nancy going to a "Dream Hospital" not tip you off to this fact? The part where Nancy's on a date and whips a book on booby traps out of her bag? The part where her mother disappears into the bed? The part where Freddy comes into the real world? The part where the HAT comes into the real world? The part where Freddy disappears when she turns her back on him?

I've got news for ya pal. The entire movie was the nightmare.

I'm listening to GET UP WITH IT and mid-70s Miles really sounds like bargain bin Bohren. This guy is really acclaimed for playing in different styles but uuuuuuhhh shouldn't they be GOOD??? This guy is the definition of master of none... Once again I compare him unfavourably to the Tranedawg, who did ONE thing over and over and over and over again to the point that it became incredibly esoteric, specialised, refined, austere and transcendent. Dare I say the Bresson of jazz?

Ah, a question that I can answer. I would feel like a schizo replying to my own QOTD.
Sloop John B, the rendition of Aren't You Glad off the Live on London album (where Mikeypoo does a cringe 40 seconds of comedy crowdwork before launching into the song lol) because the production on Wild Honey doesn't help it pop, We'll Run Away, In the Back of My Mind, and Be True to Your School.
I'm more of a Dennyfag these days though. I listen to Pacific Ocean Blue more than any Beach Boys album.

In addendum I want to note that the people on this board outside of this thread are - SERIOUSLY - inane babblers and peddlers of nitwitism. I am reminded of this every time I step outside the gates of /flimflam/.
