what I've notice from russia is that when it gets hit (by something crippling but not critical such as sanctions) is it swallows up the damage until it reroutes or divert it somehow. if you give putin internatoinal trade economics sanctions of course they are going to have the hardest time yet they will not surrender by it, instead after a few years of settling shit and rethinking strategy all you are going to acomplish is to have a self-sufficient self-reliable country that can supply themselves even if poorly redering economic attacks obsolete. you can only do this by having a population used to pain such as ruskies, my take is he know the population can eat it up without insurrection, honest opinion 10% of gas and even including the problems it cause on the supply chain is not that much of a problem, ansd i think the average russian is either smart enough or stupid enough to prefer that over having nato in their assholes and i agree
