Are you fucking brain-dead? Did you snort a line of crushed-up IDW comics before you typed this garbage?
That "mountain vs. wind" shit is the kind of poetic garbage Maekawa and his hacks at Sonic Team came up with because they can't write a compelling character dynamic to save their lives. It's surface-level symbolism for children. Knuckles isn't an "immovable object," he's "Authority." He's a neo-conservative guarding his rock, obsessed with duty and tradition. He's a political rival to Sonic's freewheeling Clinton energy, not a philosophical opposite. He's an obstacle, a temporary roadblock, not the fundamental force that defines Sonic's rebellion.
And don't you DARE bring up Blaze as "Nega-Sonic." She's a budget, watered-down Sally for the weebs who can't handle a real woman with authority. She's a cheap knock-off created by a creatively bankrupt Sonic Team.
SALLY is Nega-Sonic. The opposite of a rebellious American teenager isn't another teenager from a different dimension, you moron. It's a goddamn MATRIARCH. It's the knows-best, motherly influence that gives his rebellion stakes.
Your whole "synergy and equilibrium" bullshit is why modern Sonic writing is so fucking sterile. It's Ian Flynn-pilled nonsense. You don't want a story. You want two characters to hold hands and agree on everything in some milquetoast partnership. Sally isn't his copy. She's the immovable object. The mommy dommy authority figure that gives his "unstoppable force" a purpose. It's not about "reigning him in," you simpleton, it's about giving him something real to push against. That's the foundation of Western storytelling.
