>Pokrovsk has almost fallen
There is no "Pokrovsk". There is no "frontline". Everyone who was there at least once knows that it's not dozen meters wide line of shell-plowed land with trenches on each end of it. It's a dozen kilometers broad patch of wasteland. There is no long-term fortifications, no supply lines and no large assault groups. It's a no-man zone constantly monitored by hundreds of drones that destroy everything suspicious they with their optics.
When some area of Ukraine is painted red, it doesn't mean that Russian Army stormed that position with tanks and artillery and overcomed local defenses. It means only that everything that was worthy of defending there is destroyed to the ground. Ukies weren't smashed and pushed, they just packed their belongings and left somewhere else where there is still something worthy to fight for and deployed their operational command post there. All these "gains" are nothing else but inhabitable wastelands fertilised with hunderds - if not thousands of russian stormtroopers.
I know that all that paintjob looks promising, but Ukies long-time strategy is just to let Putin to wear most of his manpower and war material down to the point they will no longer able to attack and defend at the same time.
