I feel like you were setting yourself up to get disappointed if you thought they were gonna get some big deep payoff for themselves in the third route when >>544207470 is honestly correct and they're mostly there for EDEN'S character arc rather than to have their own. And Eden's arc is incredible and she won big time, so ultimately the chans played their role just fine.
