Tinker as portrayed in the rpg from 2005 was actually a goblin/dwarf/gnome race themed class not just gnome, however draenei artificers and the such could easily fit in to the tinker role
I don't want them to add tinker though I would prefer more classes get a 4th spec

>necromancer warlock
>some earth themed spec for shamans that lets them tank
>spellbreaker warrior
>rework dark ranger in to a magic themed hunter spec
>etc
