Spriest is pretty much unchanged, unlike many other specs, and it wasn't exactly stellar beyond the mana regen to begin with, so it'll probably lag behind.

I'm not playing epoch. Turtle is good enough. Besides WoW is inherently a dogshit game, it's fun with friends but the core gameplay loop is garbage. The german transcoded epoch devs are oblivious to this. And that is why they're making the game even more annoying to play. Expect it to fail miserably with a population of 500 by week 2

Ghost wolf form is very handy especially early on.
You got self heals and some utility, leveling enh is kinda like being a more self-sufficient warrior.

Shaman over paladin I can see since paladins really are not fun to level at all until WoTLK, but druids? Druids have so much utility, catform stealth, travelform, and the same kind of heals shamans get. Druids can be a little hard to level early on though. I've only ever taken a shaman to around 50 so I'm no expert on the matter but what I hate most about them is having to either totem every fight or bring mobs to your totems. It gets old fast.

They needed it. Druids were designed at a time in mmos where devs thought if you were able to do everything, you should be objectively shit at all of it, but people quickly realized due to the nature of the content there wasn't really a "need" for a jack of all trades, so they were shit on even back in original launch.

Even then, druids overall performance was so technically abysmal, that it didn't ever warrant bringing one in any capacity aside from brez. Its easily the most fundamentally fucked up class in vanilla, but the tbc talents and extra changes should help them a lot.

I of course will be rolling both. Alliance NEEDS another form of convenient transportation. Horde has it so easy with the zeps. Shaman is one of those classes that just needs to reach like level 30-ish before it really comes into its own and becomes a ton of fun. Not that it sucks, but it's just slow. It's just not as outrageously overpowered as Warrior is at endgame to justify that slow start for a lot of people.
It's like how Rogue and Druid are boring to level until 20-ish, Hunter is miserable until 10, and Paladin until 30-ish.

Questing seems like the main draw of this so I’m picking just based on what’s fun and comfy to level.

Depends on what my friends decide to roll.
More importantly it depends on if Shaman tank will be possible. If it is I'm doing that. I'm kind of uncertain because the class overview doesn't mention that as one of their intentions, but one of Shaman's talents is changed from TBC to no longer reduce threat generated if you have a shield equipped. Turtle got me hooked on Shaman tank and now I'm cursed to realize that it's unironically the best class in the game and that it was the role Shaman was always destined to fill.

How is TBC Hunter in PvP?

I normally play Druid, but I'm a contrarian and there's going to be too many Druids this time. I like the idea of Hunter, but I don't actually know how the class works in PvP. Being able to play Tauren Hunter without missing out on PvP racials is a nice little bonus.

I don't understand why people like the barrens so much. It's not bad the first time you go through it with a character, but it's such a drag after it. There is no story and no cool progression/link between quests and no nothing, just a hundred "Bring me 10 bear asses" quests that you have to repeat with every horde character, always seeing the same landscape, for a very long level bracket. The Elwynn->Westfall->Redridge->Darkshire journey is so much better, even considering how westfall is pretty bad. Even Tirisfal->Silverpine is better, I just wish it had more quests. I love the horde and I'll probably roll a tauren but I am not looking forward to another barrens run. I hope a lot of those new 1600 quests are in Silverpine so I can stay there as long as possible.

The Naralex story is neat, and even though it's generic, the hunting animals questchain is massive. The Barrens in general is just a comfy zone with a huge amount of quests, and most of them are pretty good. Also considering 3/4 of Horde races naturally go there after their starting zone, it has a not of nostalgia value since you have to go there so many times. I guess people will either like it or hate it, but I love it.

One thing I never understood with Vanilla WoW was all the vendors selling white gear. Like I understand this is likely something the copied from EverQuest but even within the confines of their own game structure at no point would you ever find yourself buying white gear when you could get white gear for free from low level quests.

Thank God. I like the idea of balance druid but FUCK eclipse. Every single incarnation of it has been a headache to play around.

I'm pretty interested in seeing how a classic+ version of the game with BC skills, smaller raids and new zones will go. I really don't like the cross faction aspect but I suppose that's more for server longevity than anything else.

The trasmog system is a weird opt-in system where it's enabled by default, but you can go to the transmog person in a major city to disable it which lets you see what other players are actually wearing. I plan on disabling it.

That's the best part of the game. Journeying around the world, fighting with the other faction, and getting ragtag groups for quests/dungeons is peak WoW. The farther WoW moved away from feeling like it took place in a world and closer to taking place in a capital city + instance, the worse it became.

I played all 3 beta's and still nearly fell asleep from questing. There isn't enough new things, and it's widely spread out. You're still going to do the same annoying iconic quests such as "60 pirates" and "40 pirate hats" and "kill 60 beasts for Tirion" and "60 quilboar tusks".
There's almost no difference.
The worst part about this, is they think the minimal addition of these new quests is enough to add in a -50% Exp mode: that applies to quests too. Even Turtle isn't sadistic enough for that, just mob kills on their end, and even Turtle's amount of quests isnt enough to make it not a slog towards level's 40+. It's going to be an insane hassle on Epoch.

Based on the epoch page itself, wpvp looks fun. Sure you gotta toggle warmode but they detailed the rewards for playing with it on so I assume a good number of people will just passively have choose to toggle it. Why is everyone saying the opposite, though I haven't been paying attention to the game progress.

It already does. A lot of high end dungeons were oneshotting people in the betas. Stratholme Abom's have a hook that just oneshot healers. Tol Barad (5-man dungeon) was insanely unfun for every melee involved.

Warmode has ALWAYS been a cope for not having pvp servers, people who want world pvp don't like it because only a fraction of players will use it and they'd just rather be playing on a pvp server and pve players don't like it because they don't like pvp.
I'd much rather it be a pve server with no warmode but specific zones are pvp zones where pvp is either always enabled or enabled for an event. Like if silithus was a max level pvp zone or every hour or two hillsbrad turns into a pvp zone for 15 minutes of southshore vs tarrenmill.
