Garfield's Judgement Day TV special was in the works for CBS by Film Roman (and this was during the time when they were still producing their Garfield & Friends show for the same network), but was cancelled for being too edgy, even for a Garfield namesake, so their last special ended up being Garfield Gets a Life, a special about Jon being a sore lore as per usual, although Garfield's Judgement Day was supposed to be its followup special prior to its cancellation
