Should note that JJ has held a HUGE fucking grudge against need fandom ever since need fandom rose up to force Warmer to kill that film. To the point that a lot of people have speculated that his rape of Star Trek, Star Wars, and his later attempt to rerape Superman with Black Woke Superman have all been about JJ getting revenge on nerd fandom by breaking everything they hold dear, since the rejection of this pitch basically set back his transition from tv to movies by a couple of years.

In 2008 Adam McKay was planning to adapt The Boys with a movie trilogy. Simon Pegg was going to play Hughie while Russel Crowe was eyed for the role of Butcher. According to Garth Ennis the trilogy was going to have the crew at the Farallon Islands.
>That effort to do The Boys got as far as a script being written. And it was extraordinary, because the final battle was in the Farallon Islands. Most people don't know where the Farallon Islands are, but I do because I've been there. They're about four hours off the Californian coast. ... It's mostly known for its population of great white sharks. I knew this because I was there hoping to see said sharks. They did not show up. But in the script, the final battle is in the Farallon Islands, and there's not a single shark. And you think, 'Well, you've missed a trick there, pal.'

>What happens when the last remaining male and female blue-footed newts on the planet are forced together by science to save the species, and they can't stand each other? That's the problem facing Newt and Brooke, heroes of "newt," the Pixar film by seven-time Academy Award winner for sound Gary Rydstrom, and director of Pixar's Oscar-nominated short, "Lifted". Newt and Brooke embark on a perilous, unpredictable adventure and discover that finding a mate never goes as planned, even when you only have one choice. Love, it turns out, is not a science.
The similarities to Rio definitely killed this project. I bet Pixar did not want another situation like Bugs Life and Antz.

The CG Casper movie was to be directed by Simon Wells, who originally was going to direct the sequel to the live-action 1995 movie, but when Casper 2 was cancelled in July 2000 due to poor reception of the DTV movies and hesitation of its star Christina Ricci, he backed out from that one, and moved on to direct the remake of The Time Machine, released in March 2002.

Wells came back to DreamWorks following the indestructible failure of Disney's Mars Needs Moms (and the closure of ImageMovers Digital), and once Harvey Comics' owner Classic Media was purchased by DreamWorks, and rebranded as a newly formed DreamWorks Classics, the studio had plans to make movies and shows based on old properties, with Mr. Peabody and Sherman releasing to theatres on March 14, 2014. Weeks beforehand, they announced a CG Casper movie was in development. Wells was set to write and direct with John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky (writers and producers of King of the Hill and co-creators of Silicon Valley) attached to co-write with. Around that same time, another property from the Harvey line, Hot Stuff the Little Devil, was being developed as a live-action/CG-hybrid movie, with Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux (writers of Bob's Burgers) to pen the script, both were hoping to start a cinematic universe of their own.

However by the time Mr. Peabody and Sherman came to theatres, it was a box office bomb, and the studio was already facing its economic downturn of its own by the end of that same year, cancelling projects left and right, including then-upcoming B.O.O., a similar CG supernatural ghost-themed adventure comedy which was already having a troubled production of its own. Both Casper and Hot Stuff movies ended up also being scrapped.

DreamWorks would continue to use Harvey properties with the show Harvey Street Kids, which ran between 2018 to 2020, and in 2022, Wu Kai-yu (writer of shows like Hannibal and The Flash) was set to develop a live-action/CG-hybrid, but nothing came of it as of 2025.

What you're seeing are character designs of Casper for the cancelled movie from concept artist Danny Williams of which he posted in 2023 via his ArtStation. He stated the movie "went nowhere."

This is somewhat related to /co/ because it does have /co/ stuff, it's mostly /a/. So here it goes:

For those who been active in the 2000s, you will probably know this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfJuJrqFhXM

The infamous 4kids national anthem; many of us know how weird it was. However believe or not, I remember seeing the national anthem years ago, but this never this one I saw growing up. As it turns out, there existed another version of this and it exactly the one I saw as a kid.

It's basically the same thing, but with a few differences (please note that since it's been years ago, my memory is very foggy):
>Yami Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh sings the first verse of the anthem instead of Sonic, who only sung near the end.
>The animation is somewhat fluid than the first one.
>Two(?) characters from Viva Pinata are in this version.
>Some of the characters like Ichigo/Zoey from Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power and the two One Piece characters are not in this version.
>There were also some other additional characters from various series, but I can't remember who they are (maybe Shaman King or Ultimate Muscle).
>Characters like the girls from Winx Club and (maybe) the TMNT are in this version.
>The few final verses is the same; all of the characters sing them but like I said, the animation is slightly more fluid (Fergy Fudgehog from Viva Pinata can be seen hopping around behind them while he is singing).

For a very long time, I wanted to talk about this and when I saw a few others who mention this in places like Reddit, I realized that what I saw wasn't me misremembering things.

Who knows, maybe it's already been found by now. If it is, let me know.

A modern day remake of the live-action/animated Warner Bros. cult classic from 1963 The Incredible Mr. Limpet was originally set to start production between 1998 or 1999 with Jim Carrey to star, Steve Oedekerk to direct and the writing duo of Space Jam to pen the screenplay for a set release date of Summer 2000 (or at the latest 2001). Budget concerns and horrifying CG effects accompanied with bad test reactions led to the cancellation of the project. Brad Bird originally wanted to direct the movie after completing The Iron Giant as Oedekerk's permanent replacement, but terrified what the project looked like, he quickly backed out.

Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill and Office Space) would end up being the director of the movie and also penning the script in addition, and also wanting actors like Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, Bill Murray, Chris Rock, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, and Adam Sandler to star as the lead role, and had hoped to start production in early-2001, but nothing came of it since. In fact, the almost a whole entire decade, there was radio silence about a Mr. Limpet remake up until Summer 2009, when Kevin Lima announced as director, and on June 2010, he appointed Zach Galifianakis (fresh from The Hangover) as the main star. However on March 2011, Richard Linklater would be involved with the project and was announced as director on January 2014. That same year in July, Jon Hamm, Danny McBride, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Hart, Josh Gad, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jordan Peele had entered talks for various roles in the film, but one month later, Linklater left to do his next movie, Everybody Wants Some!!

Over a decade later, and there's still no word about a Mr. Limpet remake as it's still in development hell to this very day at the time of posting.

Here's test footage of the Oedekerk version from circa 98/99:

Nic Cage as Superman is the least batshit thing about Superman Lives.
>Tim Burton was on to direct.
>Jon Peters, the producer, wanted Superman to fight a giant spider in the third act because "they're the fiercest killers in the insect kingdom". He would later go on to produce Wild Wild West, which also had a giant spider during the climax.
>Jon Peters also wanted Brainiac's assistant to be "a gay R2-D2 with attitude", played by Dwight Ewell.
>Brainiac was going to present Luthor a robot dog solely so they could sell toys of it.
>Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor, Christopher Walken as Brainiac, and Chris Rock as Jimmy Olson.

>Jack Black was to play a talentless reality TV star named Jud โ€” the type who eats weird things on camera โ€” that the ring mistakenly identifies as noble. It seems there was a malfunction in the computer belonging to Abin Sur, the alien who previously wore the ring. The ring would magically land on Jud's finger just as he was eating an uncooked coyote carcass.
>Jud would then have been forced to join the Green Lantern Corps, reluctantly becoming a fighter for peace and justice. Smigel noted that, while Jack Black was to play a comedy version of the character, the earnest, po-faced presentation of Green Lantern's world would remain intact. The mythology would go unaltered. Indeed, Smigel was aiming to adapt the "Emerald Dawn" story that was published by DC Comics in 1989 and 1990. Just with a guy who eats coyotes. Also with puppets and musical numbers. And a hero that wears a fanny pack. And scenes where villains are trapped inside giant green condoms.

We have the plot for this. Pic related was the model for Thomas btw.
>(1/2)
>The movie begins with a young boy (named "Johnny") and his father escaping London during the Blitz during World War II. They are evacuated to his father's old home, situated nearby a railway station. While there, Johnny discovers drawings by his father of engines with faces.
>One night, Johnny heads down to the station when he is unable to sleep. At the station, he meets Edward, and helps to remove a sign stuck in his wheels. As a thank-you, Edward takes Johnny on a ride through "other-worldly caves and waterfalls" to the Island of Sodor, a fantasy realm run entirely by trains, with no people.
>At Tidmouth Sheds, Johnny meets James, Percy and Emily, along with new characters Squeak and Puffing Billy. In the corner of the sheds he finds Thomas, who is sitting disused: "his coal unlit, because he wasn't useful". Johnny relights his fire, bringing Thomas back to life. Thomas mistakes Johnny for his father, who used to travel with them long ago.
>Throughout the film, Johnny journeys back and forth between Sodor and his new home. He tells his father about his adventures, however he does not believe him - having forgotten Sodor - until he reunites with Thomas at the end of the movie.
>In a big, grimy, industrial city on the other side of Sodor, a gang of diesels - led by Smoke - plots to take over the Island and smelt all of the steam engines. The diesels begin their ambush by derailing the steam engines and shutting down the coaling plants in the mountains of Sodor. With the steam engines unable to stop them, it is up to Thomas and Johnny to stop their takeover.
>Thomas and Johnny journey across other parts of the Island, meeting other new characters. These include Bertha, four military boats (two of which are a husband and wife), and three French mine carts which start a resistance against the diesels utilising underground tunnels.

(2/2)
>In the climax, there is a relay race across Sodor between the steam and diesel engines. The day is saved by Gordon, who returns after having disappeared during the diesels' takeover. The film ends with a shot of Thomas, Johnny and his father riding into the sunset

>J.J. Abrams is producing a standalone Superman film (separate from the main DC Universe continuity, often referred to as an "Elseworlds" project) centered on a Black Superman. The screenplay was written by acclaimed author and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates, known for his work on Marvel's Black Panther and Captain America comics. The project was first announced in February 2021 as part of a $500 million deal Abrams' Bad Robot Productions struck with Warner Bros.

>While specifics remain under wraps, reports indicate it reimagines Superman (potentially as a Black Kal-El or an alternate version like Calvin Ellis from Earth-2 or Val-Zod) in a 20th-century period piece tied to themes of the American civil rights era. It's described as a fresh take on the Superman mythos, emphasizing social justice elements, which has sparked both excitement and controversy.

The Duck was a planned live-action/animated hybrid movie that was set to be directed by veteran animator Uli Meyer, who worked on movies like Roger Rabbit and Space Jam. He had pitched this for 20th Century Fox and other major studios between 1998 to 2001, and it was going to be a superhero comedy about a real-life duck being transformed into a cartoon one that looked exactly like Donald Duck or Daffy Duck. Even in the original pitch, it resembled either characters as a coincidence but not really. After being turned into a cartoon duck, he decides to become a superhero to save everyone from fear and danger. According to him the director, he and his crew were excited once the studio successfully picked it up, and were this close to making it. Despite being greenlit however, the movie did not get made due to lack of a funding, so they pulled the plug on it indefinitely. Of all things, just a proof of concept art (pic related) and two short clips (links down below) for the movie were made.

2003 draft has Superman dead midway through the film, Jor-El senses it, commits suicide by doing some kind of weird power that turns his eyes white and sends him to Heaven or Afterlife or whatever, to tell Kal-El to return to life to fulfill the Kryptonian prophecy. Wasn't a huge part of it that Jon Peters kept making demands that pretty much every writer and director that wanted to work on a Superman film hated?

Like he didn't want Superman to fly or wear the suit and kept demanding the giant spider fight and so on. At one point, I think he even wanted them to go with Brainiac blocking out the Sun so it's a Superman film where he doesn't have any superpowers. That might work for an episode of a show like Justice League or as a subplot of a film with a much more established version of the character but not with a reboot.

I'm honestly not sure. The only outside characters that appear are Alan Scott and Superman and they could both easily be worked around but I don't see why they would have to be because Superman and Green Lantern both appear in The Batman anyways.

Also, Dick and Babs are both in The Batman. This really makes no sense. They were already using all of the characters except Hush. Does Loeb own Hush or something? I mean, they could've honestly just made him a new character if that was really it. That's what they did with Arkham Knight.

>In July 2007, Avi Arad revealed that a Venom spin-off film was in the works. Sony commissioned Jacob Aaron Estes to pen a script, but it was rejected the following year.

>The movie would take place after the events of Spider-Man 3 and see the piece of symbiote that escaped the final fight getting dumped in the californian desert then regenerating back into Topher Grace's Eddie Brock, who would be wracked by guilt over his actions.

>The disoriented Eddie stumbles into a diner and meets waitress Honey Horrorwitz, with whom he falls in love after saving her life from a biker gang. Honey becomes determined to clear Eddie's reputation, convincing him to talk to the press and write a biographical book justifying Venom's attack on New York City.

>Eddie reveals that the symbiote was seen as an aberration in its homeworld for bonding with its hosts rather than eating them, which prompted its kin to lock it in a crystal pod and eject it into space. He also notes that the symbiote has developed feelings for him and is jealous of Honey.

>Eddie and Honey would move into San Francisco, where Venom makes a name of himself a lethal vigilante, while Eddie's career enjoys a resurgence.

>The main villain was Cletus Kassady, a failed opera singer turned serial killer who quickly realizes Eddie Brock is Venom. Cletus attempts to blackmail Eddie into writing his biography, getting attacked by an enraged Venom as a result. A piece of the symbiote gets attached to Cletus, who emerges as Carnage and goes on a rampage.

>The movie would end with Venom fighting a singing Carnage atop the Golden Gate Bridge. Eddie sacrifices himself to save Honey by fusing himself with Carnage and locking both in Venom's crystal pod.

>The script was written with an R rating in mind and didn't feature Spider-Man as a character.

The thing with Brat Pack is that it was written in response to a book called The Seduction of the Innocent, which demonized comics and influenced the government to push for censorship. For example, Brat Pack depicted Batman as a gay pedophile in response to a passage from the book that claimed Batman had that as subtext.

On the contrary, I'd say The Boys, while being equally juvenile in its parodies of mainstream heroes, still has some strong character beats with its main cast and can serve by itself as a thriller even stripped of the unapologetic potty humor.
It also took some shots at the comic industry itself, even if it fell into the common pitfall of offering no viable alternative.
It's been a while since I've read either series, but I recall Brat Pack offered nothing beyond the gross caricatures of its heroes. Even if what >>150317515 is true and it's a response against a public perception of capeshit being tasteless schlock relying on gore and sex, I don't think doubling down on that was the most apt response. I hate censorship, mind you, but a lot of times I feel gore and sex is just there purely for the shock factor, rather than adding to the story, and Brat Pack in particular seems like it only exists purely to offend pearl-clutchers.

These are clearly nonsense since the Cameron Spider-Man film was in pre-production around 1991-1993.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape wasn't until late '93; even DiCaprio's run Growing Pains would have been about halfway through that period.

Carrey had been in several films but most of them were flops at that point and was primarily known for being on In Living Color; '94 was the year he broke through at the box office which was after the Cameron project fell through.

Meanwhile Cox was just like thirteen and playing bit parts at that time.

This really feels like Wizard or some other publication made a wishlist cast sometime around 1999 and somebody thought it was real.

You're kind of close. Wizard had the image that >>150301120 posted made, it was published in one of their issues (I forget which). That was their take on what they think Cameron's Spider-Man might be like (that's why it said "not COMING THIS SUMMER" at the bottom along with "parody"), based on some things like how Cameron mentioned that he thought DiCaprio could be a good Peter, but likely never got around to casting Peter (and based on DiCaprio's comments about working on Titanic, I doubt he would've wanted to work with Cameron again).

One was a Unmasked Baron Zemo doing one of those 90s Milk Mustache ads.
One was a Preacher parody of those Hostess comics ads.
One was that Cameron Spider-Man movie poster.

There's still some lost media related to this, the pre-ride animation:
>The first part of the film is seen in a bunch of normal seats on a normal sized TV screen, before they load up the ridefilm theater. We see a ridefilm pod being worked on by a team of binomes. Mike the TV pops up and talks about the machine, which will let us enter Hexadecimal's sub-consciousness and let us know what makes up the virus we know today. He then introduces us to Herr Doktor, who says in a worried tone that the machine is not yet ready for human use. Mike shushes him, asking him if he'd rather go back to working for Megabyte or if he'd like to succeed on his own. The Doktor doesn't want to go back, so goes ahead and explains the machine's workings to us, and the importance of the control remote that he holds in his hand which will take us back to safety if anything goes wrong. And he IS worried. ^_^ "If Hex catches us in there, we could end up as Weinerschnitzel!"
>The film then ends and the Ridefilm clerk will hustle you up a flight of stairs into the main theater where the ridefilm seats proper are. The film starts with you now sitting in the pod you saw being worked on in the beginning, with Mike and Herr Doktor in front of you. You move towards a glowing portal.

This was way before the cancelled Netflix one, dude. He actually pitched it to both Paramount and WB, but both studios rejected as they wanted their visions instead of his
>"In August 1998, Jeff Smith signed a deal with Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies to produce an animated adaptation of Bone."
>"The story would've followed the Bone Cousins ending up in the valley, where they would meet Thorn and Grand'ma Ben. Smith pitched the story to be very simple, but with an open ending that could potentially lead to more sequels for the future."
>However, Nickelodeon wanted to change the ending and make the film more kid-friendly. Most notably, they wanted the Bones to be played by children, and for Fone Bone to have "Magic Gloves". They also wanted to shift more focus on the character Thorn, and even debated focusing the movie on her instead.[4] There were also talks of pop songs by NSYNC and Britney Spears to be featured in the films soundtrack, which was quickly turned down by Smith.[4] The executive meddling caused Smith to walk out of the film, resulting in production being cancelled in August of 2000"

There was an animated Scooby-Doo movie that got scrapped called Scooby-Doo and the Anime Invasion by Tad Stones. Pan Pizza was able to get more info about the premise that the gang were going to fight evil robots inspired by Pokรฉmon in a convention. On July 9, 2019, DC released Scooby-Doo Where Are You? issue #47 which had a similar premise (pic related). Here is the excerpt from the interview with Tad Stones mentioning the project.
>JS: What else have you been doing since The Disney Afternoon wrapped?
>TS: My last day at Disney was February 26, 2003. I did one small development project for them that didnt get too far. Then I did a direct-to-video Scooby-Doo script Scooby-Doo and the Anime Invasion. I think it needs a title change, because evidently kids loved the concept but moms werent sure about it. In the past I'd worked on parts of scripts, or storyboarded parts of my direct-to-videos. This was the first one that I sat down and top to bottom and wrote from blank page to final script. It was a lot of fun to work with those characters.

Nobody remembers this but there was once a Salad Fingers game in development. It started off as unofficial until David Firth got involved. Act 1 of the game was released, but Firth decided to leave the project. The devs did not want to continue without him which resulted in its cancelation.
>Salad Fingers: Where's May Gone is a Point and Click Adventure style game set in the Salad Fingers universe where you play as a survivor of The Great War who awakens from a coma to find yourself held captive by Salad Fingers. You must escape and explore the Salad Fingers universe in search of your daughter May. You will get to relive events that transpire during the actual Salad Fingers series, but will view them from a different perspective. Clues to some of the puzzles can be found by watching the Salad Fingers series. The game will be a 3 part series which is planned to be completed in the 4th Quarter of 2015.
>"This project has been an incredible opportunity and we've done our best to stay true to the original series. Unfortunately, we've had our differences with David Firth, the creator of the original series. As director of this project, I'd like to be as transparent as possible. In summary, David Firth went back on our agreement to make this happen as he doesn't feel right about how his characters/world are being portrayed. We offered him creative direction from the very beginning and actually tried to negotiate his involvement many times thereafter. Unfortunately, he's made it clear that he doesn't want any part of this project, hence we are left with no other option. This was a passion project of ours as we love Salad Fingers, and so we find it very difficult to let go of it. We thank you all for your support and know that we will continue to make games!"

Around 2005 there was an open world South Park game in development by Ubisoft and Buzz Monkey Software. The gameplay was like The Simpsons: Hit & Run or Grand Theft Auto. A unfinished copy was discovered by HappyConsoleGamer on Youtube when they acquired a debug Xbox console that contained it. An animated cutscene for the game also surfaced online.

This is not the only cancelled South Park game. There was supposed to be one for the Gameboy Color, but Matt and Trey stopped it at the last minute. They explained that the Gameboy was marketed towards children and felt adults would ultimately not play it. A ROM was released by a user on the Lost Media Wiki that was able to contact a developer. This is the plot of the game and its gameplay.
>From the deep reaches of space, a horror approaches. Once in a great while, the malevolent forces of the Universe combine to form a force of evil so concentrated, so pure, that no bastion of goodness and decency can stand against it. It hurls through the Universe toward its destinationโ€ฆ the planet Earth. The town to be victimizedโ€ฆ South Park, Colorado. A quaint little town, nestled in the peaks of the Rocky Mountains. Where better to terrorize good and decent folkโ€ฆ Yeah, right!

Because places like China and the Middle East have money, and the US doesn't anymore. Disney for example relies exclusively on childless adults who are trying to recapture their childhood, there is no actual future for their parks because once the millennial Disney adult reaches late adulthood and starts to seriously slow down both physically and financially, there's nowhere left to go. But the Middle East and China are full of young wealthy families who would gladly pay top dollar for cheap low brow entertainment.

this sounds bad and is the main reason why gunn's Superman sucks. lol I'm gonna shit on superman legacy again, anyway.
stupid comic book shit like Lex being an alien and Krypto shouldn't be in movies, primarily because those are the character's introduction to the dumb casual audiences who have no idea who these characters are. so if you show them long-standing stupid tropes like super pets and typewriter monkeys they're going to think that's what the general comics are like and it tarnishes the reputation of the character. of course faggots like Abrams and Gunn don't give a shit about the characters.they just want to cast their relatives so they can cash in. it's disgusting and disrespectful and it's a slippery slope. Legacy opened the door for DC to be seen as a joke.

The problem is the general public's perception of Superman is his Golden Age incarnation, where he leapt tall buildings, while Gunn wanted to go Silver Age and shrugs off anything retarded as "it's a comic book movie :^)", and the end result is a fucking mess. I barely know about Superman, and I was confused whether Lex had opened up a portal into the Phantom Zone and what that means - which was probably incorrect but imagine how confused general audiences might be.
If you want to make a movie about wholesome 'good guy to a fault' Superman, fine. But don't drag in his dog, his cousin, or anything else that might get in the way of what should be a very basic story. It's like doing Batman Inc in movie one of your Batman reboot. "But it's in the comic books" isn't an argument.

Matthew Vaughn and Mark Millar pitched a Superman trilogy before Zack Snyder's Man of Steel was picked up.
>As for the DC Universe, the director said he has been in touch with new studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran (โ€œweโ€™ve been talkingโ€) but no project is currently on the table. Vaughn did confirm that before the previous DC Universe launched with Zack Snyderโ€™s โ€œMan of Steel,โ€ he pitched Warner Bros. on a Superman film trilogy alongside comic book writer Mark Millar.
>โ€œMark and I sat down and plotted out a three film trilogy, pitched it to Warner Bros. before โ€˜Man of Steelโ€™โ€ฆ we pitched how to do a trilogy of Superman movies and Warners said they werenโ€™t interested,โ€ Vaughn said. โ€œThatโ€™s as far as it went.โ€
>Vaughn said his Superman trilogy wouldโ€™ve harkened back to the tone of Richard Donnerโ€™s 1978 โ€œSupermanโ€ and included villains such as Lex Luther, Zod and Braniac.
>โ€œI think Donner nailed it,โ€ Vaughn said. โ€œโ€˜Wonder Womanโ€™ worked very well because it was basically a Donner/Superman film but reimagined as Wonder Woman. I wouldโ€™ve done a modern version of Donner. Our big idea was that Krypton doesnโ€™t blow up. It does eventually. The dad was right, but he got his timing wrong. When Superman is grown up, suddenly thereโ€™s a mass exodus and all hell breaks loose. That was our main idea.โ€

Cartoon Network once wanted to do a live action adaptation of Samurai Jack.
>In only five years, the tales of "Samurai Jack" have revolutionized action cartoons, captured the eye of Hollywood, launched a few careers and subsequently been largely forgotten. According to series creator and god of geekdom Genndy Tartakovsky, the proposed live-action movie starring the time-traveling samurai has indeed stalled. "It kind of got lost in Hollywood a little bit," the writer/director/animator sighed. "I have a very strong idea for 'Jack,' and I want to stay faithful to it. In Hollywood, the first thing people want to do is change things, and so the best thing happened to it โ€” it died." Instead, the proudly stubborn Tartakovsky is excitedly planning to oversee the faithful version he's always insisted upon while putting the Japanese warrior back into his ink-and-pencil trappings. "Jack will come back," he promised, "we will finish the story, and there will be an animated film."
