WB was making a live-action/animated Hong Kong Phooey movie based on a classic H-B property. Around the same time, three Looney Tunes properties, Speedy Gonzales, Pepe Le Pew and Marvin the Martian, were also getting live-action treatments. For Speedy, George Lopez was set to produce and voice the character. For Pepe, Mike Myers was to voice as the character. Only test footage for both Phooey and Marvin were ever made
