>Okay? Assuming that's true and if we're going off of results rather than hypotheticals, then it hasn't affected anything coming out of Monolith.
You already saw Lin's outfits and the bust slider get removed from XBX Switch globally. That was DIRECTLY Treehouse's fault, we know that because they were the ones who pushed for it on the Wii U version. As for Xenoblade 3, all we can go off of is speculation because as I said, anything that Treehouse disapproves of would have been shut down in development. Even then, the artbook showed a redheaded white Taion, so it's possible they argued for him to be made black for DEI quotas.
>"if I had to guess it was done because the Switch is not a region locked console [unlike the Wii U], and it would be easier to simply rerelease the version that had already been approved by western ratings boards
Your folly is assuming this has anything to do with the rating boards. Lin's uncensored bikini would not have pushed Xenoblade X's rating up to M and neither would the bust slider. These were not changes demanded by any rating or regulatory agency, but by Nintendo themselves. And so why is it so hard for you to believe they may impose changes on any future version of Xenoblade 2, especially as I've established that they've become much more censorious since its release? Or do you honestly think Monolith Soft has some sort of special immunity to Nintendo's policies?
>Just trying to point out the hypocrisy of using leggings as a way to discount a game's sex appeal while ignoring the fact that the same complaint could be levied against the game you're propping up.
Mythra had bare legs and a very prominent boob window. Those were censored for Smash. Xenoblade 3 then has all its major female characters also wear leggings. Mio is particularly conspicuous. It's only speculation, but again, it's all we have now because Treehouse deliberately set things up to where there's no trail of evidence for their censorship.
