It’s astonishing how much effort the studio put into filler content. Some of the character designs and choreography for particular fights are top-notch, while the Fullbring arc actually felt more like filler than canon.

I believe they later reused the Zanpakutō spirit design from the Rebellion arc for Shunsui’s Bankai reveal in TYBW. I’ve only read the manga up to a certain point and haven’t checked on it since. Hopefully the anime addresses its glaring flaws and gives the series a better ending through the author’s involvement.

I’m more of a Riruka type of guy. Harribel doesn’t have much going for her besides the plump tits, while Rangiku actually has an interesting backstory that explains why she was so attached to Gin.
