Why isn’t there a good retro Bleach game? I thought both the show and the manga were successful enough to warrant a video game that wasn’t shovelware-tier slop

What's wrong with Bleach GC?

The non-retro Soul Carnival games were alright. If you've played Shaman King Master of Spirits on the GBA they are kinda like that but with multiple playable characters

Forgot to add that those are actually Japan Studio games if I'm not mistaken

>Why isn’t there a good retro Bleach game?
the tranime itself is not good, so why should it deserve a good game?

Do the same with slop

the fact that it's super successful is why it only gets slop.No point spending much money when normie will buy whatever has the name bleach attached to it. It's the same with the other big shonen. dbz has some good games but most are either trash or mediocre, even the big production value ones.

Early Bleach is peak 00s culture, and the author had a slick sense of /fa/.

Maybe it’s just my Zoomer brain mixing things up, but I always associate the Ichigo vs Ulquiorra fight during the show’s high point with webcomics, the late 7th gen console wars, and the early DeviantArt era. It felt like a time when it was still cool to dive into nerdy stuff without it being as mainstream as today.

Anime and anime-related media definitely lean into a gynocentric angle.

In Miyazaki’s movies women are usually more competent than men, and you’ve got grown adults playing games like Nikke, running around as teenage girls shooting stuff with their assets jiggling out in the open. So yeah I get why some people call it “tranime.”

Only the very early parts, like the pre-Soul Society arc whatever it was called. The artstyle in the manga was also punk as fuck. Then in the anime Menos Grande appearing for the first time with this

playing was really cool. Then it all kinda devolved into typical uninspired shonenshit

Focus on games based on the IPs you faggots. Also the Bleach anime sucks as an adaptation for the most part.

The Heat the Soul series, Treasure's DS games, Soul Carnival series. I have not tried Bleach GC but I remember having fun with Shattered Blade back in the day and that's the same devs. Treasure/Lancarse also made a Wii game called Versus Crusade.

Not even Naruto or One Piece has one.
Much less Bleach which wasn't never on that tier.
It had the hottest women but other than that nothing.

It’s astonishing how much effort the studio put into filler content. Some of the character designs and choreography for particular fights are top-notch, while the Fullbring arc actually felt more like filler than canon.

I believe they later reused the Zanpakutō spirit design from the Rebellion arc for Shunsui’s Bankai reveal in TYBW. I’ve only read the manga up to a certain point and haven’t checked on it since. Hopefully the anime addresses its glaring flaws and gives the series a better ending through the author’s involvement.

I’m more of a Riruka type of guy. Harribel doesn’t have much going for her besides the plump tits, while Rangiku actually has an interesting backstory that explains why she was so attached to Gin.

Nta but I don’t get this whole generational grievance thing. Every generation has its flaws and has impacted society negatively in some way. Zoomers might struggle to see things sincerely sometimes, but at least they’re not as infantilized as millennials, who literally came up with the term “adulting".

Damn so they fit right in on /vr/ aka the disingenuous poser central, why is this board so against zoomers then?

Bleach fell apart very early on around the Soul Society arc and completely shat the bed during Aizen's big twist.
Every fucking fight structure followed the same goddamn formula:
>Villain introduces themselves
>Fight
>Everyone stops to take a break for a second to figure out what the fuck just happened while the villain monologues literally giving away their strategy while there's several emotional flashbacks intermingled between the entire fight
>Fight some more
>Protag figures out what to do
>Protag wins
>"H-HOW DID YOU DEFEAT ME?!"
>"Well, when you said you block bullets with your hands, I just opted to use my FISTS to kick your ass instead, you stupid faggot."
>"Heh...guess I was...careless..." *dies I guess*

Most Millennials are spoiled stuck-up manchildren because, for the most part, we had it pretty good growing up back then, but into adulthood we lack the proper discipline needed to grow the fuck up and get over how shit things have gotten and that our "Golden Era" didn't last forever. So now we're just lashing out at something (Zoomers, Trump, who or whatever) "more annoying" than dealing with our responsibilities.

Not to mention at some point, likely around our 'teens to 18, our parents were too old and lazy to deal with our bullshit besides putting a roof over our heads and feeding us whist we developed our fat passive-aggressive egos and narcissism.
Call it projection if you want, but I guarantee the majority of the Millennials here didn't know how, say, balance a checkbook, cook, write a résumé or set up a bank account until late in your life, because that's what our parents were being taught in school as early as middle school.

In my middle school years, I was massively into Bleach. There was one moment that made me stop watching forever.
>in the middle of the False Karakurs town arc, can't remember the name
>Soul Reaper captains facing off against Arrancar leaders
>episode starts, two characters about to fight
>narrator pauses the fight to tell us a new story
>filler arc begins
Was unbelievably pissed.

I remember hearing some therapist talk about generational trauma, and we're basically a "wounded society." That really stuck with me. Being a parent myself now, I'm convinced that a lot of parents in the past were increasingly bad. We've just gotten less shitty with each new generation of parents.

Nowadays it is, but it wasn't always the case. Miyazaki is a bad example because he's personally an outright feminist socialist, not the norm
