I don't usually do "evil" playthroughs, but there's something about BG3 that just makes me wanna punch the first person I see in the face. Like, it actually takes restraint not to slaughter the entire group of people who said something mean to you. It's a fun deviation since you can actually kill people who slighted you without a hitch and introducing you to a world that is actively hostile to you is nice, so I guess the characters are good.
The companions have the same thing, but they also grow on you a bit, so I guess not wanting to rat them out because they've been useful to you and said a nice thing once or twice is also good.
