They're probably a valuable asset that they don't have any control over and it makes them panicked.

imagine you gave EVERYTHING for power and control:
Your soul
Your time
Your loyalty
Even your gender

to appease to a being that loatthes humanity.

And someone who didn't make any bad deals, never signed anything in blood

Gets the skinny on you
In a wworld where you though the cattle was as dumb as can be, where you have all your fingers in all of the pies and every outlet and think tank is at your beck and call.


And ONE person slips through

And outsmarts you

and still, to this day is a free person.

Imagine the generations of ego built up to believe you can be God himself, or at least rule along side a powerful being.

And one naked person simply holds up a mirror. They don't fight. They don't kill steal or destroy and she outsmarts you.

That's why.

Their egos will not rest. They can't. They given too much, or have they?
