why do my android phones always have some fucked up exif orientation?

My old stock android phone has this issue, and my current GrapheneOS pixel has this issue too.

Fucking with the exit swiping has no effect.

my photos in Aves Libre (foss android photo app) don't display wrong, but they do when I upload them to 4chud.

Screenshots solve the issue. KurobaEx's Fix EXIF Orientation also solves this. Aside: I actually vibe codes an android app for this, copying kurobaExs code.
