The point of alchemy has always been to attain eternal life. The tree of life in the Garden of Eden and the Kabbalistic tree of life were stolen from the Crann Bethadh.
Once you attain the non-dual "enlightened" consciousness you attain eternal life as in your spirit will escape from the cycle of death. Yes, I am taking elements from outside of the Bible, because Vedic and Tibetan thought are mirrors of the old Indo-European knowledge. To understand what they've hidden in the Bible behind fables you have to understand them.

Odin is the all father the same way Yod, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Osiris, the primordial Buddha, etc. is the masculine, the pure consciousness.
My experiences in life and research have led me to believe there are beings that exist in "high" nature in other dimensions, underground, maybe even light years away in space but there is only that one true God that lives within us and around us, of which Odin is a representation of the masculine side of it. If we begin to understand the alchemical nature of it then it becomes real, but in a Yidam sort of way. I prefer the term Rigpa for this side of God because it's closer to its actual nature than any deity, which interestingly can be understood as "gnosis" in English.
