The other club members slowly turned around in confusion. Visually I looked human but there was something off about me. Some different. Something fundamentally...wrong. For a moment, I understood what it was like to be one of my own children. To taste the fear of Adam's children, such a succulent delicacy, every bead of sweat and microexpression twitching delicately. A delicate balance of fight or flight instincts that could snap at any moment. Shadows gathered like stalking animals at the distant corners of the room, my features sinking into a dire recess as I got closer and closer without visibly moving.

"Oh! That's very helpful Anon-san, thank you for rescuing that lost catgirl!" said one of the dudes.
"Nyaah!" said the catgirl, nuzzling me.
"We should probably release her back into the wil-I mean, to one of the other academies before whatever obscure and vaguely racist academic regulations enforce human apartheid have consequences for us all" I mused.
I spent the rest of the day folding origami with the boys because this is a slice of life setting.

None of this will make sense of you because of your limited experience with the true nature of reality, but I don’t have anything to do and you need me staying still here so I get to do what I want, and right now I want to contemplate the role of the strong anthropic principle in assigning nasty meat stuff to the mystical forces of death, and happy meat stuff but more consistently plant stuff over animals to the mystical forces of life”
The medical personnel stared helplessly at me, convinced I’d gone insane.
“And no, the megamycete doesn’t count” I added. “It’s not TECHNICALLY witchcraft, it’s just LARPing really hard”
