You're framing this as "the morally correct choice is to be mean to trans people", which sounds crazy. They are people, they deserve kindness. Whatever is going on in their heads that makes them believe they were born the wrong gender, that's simply who they are and what they have to go through. I can't imagine what that must feel like, and I can't stand the thought of them just mutilating their body or whatever to feel comfortable in their own skin... But who the heck am I to tell them they're wrong? I'm not trans, I don't know what that's like. I can't impose my will on them. I can't impose what I believe is "normal" or "right" onto them. I can't force them to do anything I don't want to do. I don't have power over any of them, and they should be free to make their own decisions in their lives. Even if I don't agree with them.

I wish they could just feel comfortable in their own skin, but the fact of the matter is, they don't and there's nothing I can do about it. I'd rather do whatever I can to make them feel happy and comfortable, then attack their very existence just cause it doesn't align with my view of the world.
