During a hunt train, someone told me to put away my chocobo in /shout chat

I looked around, and there were at least 5 other people with their chocobos out. So I asked why do I need to put my chocobo away, and he said because he sees a chocobo's DoT on the boss and we need to kill slower. I told him my chocobo doesn't even have Attacker leveled at all. He didn't say anything after that, but that was a few days ago and it still bothers me.
