Hey trv, hope this is the right place. My visa is going to run out in April and looking to return to the US. Looking at San Antonio for moving to from Japan, anyone from there? Some of my friends on discord pointed me to near Castle Hills since I won't have a car immediately and there enough shops I could bike to for my daily needs. I have enough in savings (about ~75k excluding 401k etc) to last a full year if shit hits the fan. I've talked to some people and they have some positions mainly remote in that area at about 80-85k/yr, I just have to reside in the state to work.
Should that be enough for the area? Are there better places to move to? Better cities that aren't Lubbock in which to live in? I plan to visit DFW during Christmas but the rent prices are insane there what the fuck happened?
