Imagine the World of Warcraft from Vanilla as a base.

The main goal of the game is to destroy the Black Queen and Black King, who are empowered by your Kernelsprites by way of magical rings. If you threw a cinder block into the sprite, then the monarchy, along with their underlings, will take on those characteristics.
You can attempt to make it easier by prototyping weak objects, like stuffed animals or even fragile things, but the sprite is your guide and it's power scales with what you give it. If it's too stupid to help you, sure, the enemies are gonna be retarded, but you'll basically have no help.

You can alchemize new weapons based on that which you find, like copper from copper Imps or rubies from ruby golems, etc. etc. you can experiment and make something cool, or make it based off something else(You alchemize your toy Plasma Rifle from Halo into an actual plasma rifle that fires lethal blobs of plasma).

Sburb is, as best I can describe it, Baulders Gate, Minecraft, WoW, Arcanum, and Ultima IV being stuffed into a pod with rogue likes and procedural generation and being fused together Brendel Fly style.

For the mentally unprepared having a continuous property drag out across years of your life will make it a part of you and having a part of yourself that not only you cannot control, but that someone else in in control of is both a source of fear and incredibly painful when that other does things which don't align with your attachment to it. The pain is obviously irrational and any reasonable person can understand intellectually that you were never in control but that doesn't stop the feelings.
In other words for many Homestuck is like your first real relationship, it sticks with you and if it ends badly from your perspective the only thing that can bring peace is time and distance to dull the ache to which some people never truly get over anyways.

I just now finished Homestuck for the first time. I can definitely see why people were/are pissed about the ending, aside from ACT 6 really dragging towards the end, it leaves a lot of stuff open and doesn’t answer for everything it set up. I am inclined out sheer curiosity and because I like how Hussie crafts characters (not so much how he crafts character arcs) but I’m gonna take a break from that whole universe for a bit. Mainly because the more I’m thinking about things, the more unsatisfied I am with how it ended. I was more enamored with the animations and music and whatnot than the actually writing of the thing. Even then the animations and the music couldn’t prevent me from being taken out of it by things like Roxy just suddenly and miraculously killing Condesce out of nowhere, Calliope making a black hole for no reason and the obvious one of them not actually showing or even implying what happened to LE. Plus I heard Jade cucks Kanaya with her Dog Dick in Hs2 and well, that’s all the evidence I need to put it on the back burner. At least for a little bit

Yeah the whole tail end of Act 6 and Act 7 were hugely rushed, and I believe Hussie had already envisioned what the ending was going to be wayyy in the past, so it feels like he just slot it in there with only minor changes to how the story developed.
I think the Epilogues are worth a read eventually. Keep in mind that's the last thing that Hussie had a hand in writing, after that it's all other people. Hs2 kind of stinks especially in the first half, but the stuff that came with the new writers and artists seems kind of promising.
