See, you're doing it now. You're putting way too much stock into fictional characters. I'm not a Nepeta 'fan' any more than I'm a fan of the other characters of a webcomic I like. I just decided to use Nepeta images in this folder of unorganized fanart I have. Nepeta was a fun character, she had some amusing logs, was cute, gave us a good idea of the issues with the hemospectrum and quadrants, and died. Do I beat my chest and rend my garments over it? No, she's a character in a story, and served her purpose.
Honestly if I had to choose myself to be a 'fan' of anyone it'd probably be Caliborn, he's my favorite.
