I love elves

I feel like everyone has this same character arc where they like elves as a kid and then as an edgy teen or 20something they get into humans or dwarves and like gritty realpolitik fantasy like ASOIAF.

And then by 30 we come back full circle and realize we were right to like elves(and noblebright fantasy in general). The elven lifestyle is aspirational and we humans should endeavor to create beauitful things, slow down the pace of life, and live closer to nature.
