Spirit of Justice really should have been a Phoenix and Maya game.
The setting was perfect for Maya, we haven't seen her in forever, and the trailers advertised her return like crazy. They even threw in some ship bait to boot
I was so frustrated and disappointed when the game ended up being an Apollo game that gives him another random backstory and Maya's role was nothing more than her being the damsel in distress and the murder suspect again.
She barely had any screen time too (had to make up for it with the dlc case)

If they wanted SoJ to be Apollo's send off, they should've advertised it as such
