Well, I personally enjoy Rising a lot more than Strive but that may or may not be because I never bothered to learn Strive properly, I just fucked around in Tower for a bit playing May, who I do like a lot.
I think the one advantage that Strive has over this game is that different characters truly do feel more different from each other than the ones in Granblue. At first glance, many characters in Granblue feel pretty same-y. This gets better once you learn them more deeply and start truly optimizing their shit, but I still think that Strive did character variety better as a whole.
This is both a good and a bad thing because I think the cancer characters in Strive are a LOT more cancer to play against than the ones in Granblue.
