I also cant imagine the rest of the crew not freaking out about the simian science ape working alone in the lab. think about how ridiculous this is.
also if you plan to transport some creatures for 60 years you would build them a terrarium or something and feed them with stuff that they like to eat so you keep them alive and comfy for the journey.
especially if these creatures cant be frozen for whatever reason.
