I recently tried to replay it after plaything through the Castlevania GBA and DS collections and found it to be pretty much unplayable. It's janky. But not janky in the way where you just get used to it after a while and have a blast regardless. I didn't get used to the jank in this no matter how much I played and never really hit a spot where I was actually enjoying to play it.
