You are still requiring that the original model MUST be used in the kitbash, which is a stupid thing to require. Many kitbashes carry weapons that have no profile at all, because they are made up by the kitbasher from spare parts. Or the model is a proxy from a different game, but with comparable gear.

For example, I'm going to use this model as a Skitarii Marshal. It has a holstered pistol and a melee weapon. Skitarii marshals have no wargear options, and yet by your own logic, this is objectionable, because he's not holding the stupid swagger stick and radium pistol?
