My girlfriend has BPD and it's genuinely fucked up. I had no idea you people were even close to this cartoonishly insane before I dated one of you. It's like when she gets mad she forgets who I am, and it's like the relationship didn't exist before whatever minor misunderstanding she picks out of the hat to explode at me for 3 days straight over.

She KNOWS she has BPD, but when she starts enaging in textbbook BPD maladaptivity, she thinks I'm gaslighting her.

The projection is 1:1 too. It's actually an extremely reliable way to find out what their insecurities are. They will always accuse you of exactly what they're currently doing, without a hint of self-awareness or irony.

The worst part of all is the childish self-entitlement, though. You will crawl through the desert on your hands and knees for her, and she will ignore all of it in favor of the one small mistake you made - because you are imperfect, and humans make mistakes. She will never put even close to this energy back into me.

Shit is wild. The next time she dumps me I'm going to be a ghost so fast she won't have time to come crawling back again.
