That infographic is terrible, Sparky. No matter how many times you post it, it doesn't make your arguments any better. It lists a bunch of generic, positive traits that could apply to half the cast and then pretends it's some profound discovery that Sonic and Amy share them. "Loves adventure and hates boredom"? "Positive attitude"? "Hates injustices"? Welcome to the entire hero cast of a children's media franchise. You've discovered nothing. And the gendered archetypes that have fuck-all to do with either character and are tenuous at best (who the fuck would describe Amy as a 'disney princess'? Sonic is not fucking SUPERMAN, FFS) read as misguided at best and sexist at worst. Reductionist regardless.
The list deliberately ignores the single most important difference: motivation. Sonic's traits are intrinsic. He runs because he is the wind. Amy's traits are extrinsic. She "loves adventure" because it's how she chases Sonic. She "inspires others" by accident while trying to get Sonic's attention. She is a follower. Her entire character is defined by her relationship to him. That is the fundamental relationship. She is the planet, he is the sun.
You're getting hysterical. I never said that I wanted to throw Amy away. I view Tails and Amy both as essential partners to Sonic. Quit projecting your weird fantasies of locking Cream away in a dungeon onto me.
This isn't about "gassing up Cream". It's about acknowledging that Cream is a character who genuinely enjoys adventure for its own sake, unlike Tails and Amy. You just want to gut Amy's actual character so she can be a pink Sonic stand-in because you're too attached to a version of the characters that only exists in your head.
I do not bring up shipping in our arguments about ARCHETYPES, you DO.
