Avellone has always been a Bethesda apologist and thought the show was entertaining just “not how I would have done it” and even goes apologist for Bethesda in his formal review of the show saying they’ve done nothing as bad as interplay-black isle did after FO1 with tactics/BOS and FO2 meme writing
He even admitted he wanted to reduce NCR considerably in the past and wrote lines in New Vegas where he nukes San Francisco but Bethesda asked him not to.
He doesn’t think the show is “centered well enough in the Fallout universe” and doesn’t like its lore, but never outright admonishes it or calls it bad, shitty writing or not what Fallout is
