Moving to higher and higher definitions and "graphics settings" means you spend more time doing dumb bullshit like getting the definition up, then optimizing, then increasing the definition, and ALL of this is separate from what makes a game look good.
Assets don't make a game look good, art direction / style does. It has almost nothing to do with MUH GRAPHICS because at the end of the day it's about takings scenes, making them fit together, and making them look good.
