Didn't help that New Line Cinema was eating their lunch with Lord of the Rings trilogy. Had a zoomer intern in my working place who had never seen those films so me and my colleagues pushed him to watch them on a weekend. He ended up marathoning the whole thing and couldn't shut up about them for the next week. Kid absolutely loved them.
