"New game bad" has been the mantra with every new game in a series since SF2 started getting different versions. Most newer games have a relatively great playerbase, they get tournaments with legitimate prize pools and content gets created. Just because a vocal minority doesn't like a game and it's not doing Fortnite numbers doesn't mean the genre needs some kinda saving.
