Most newer games have a relatively great playerbase, they get tournaments with legitimate prize pools and content gets created. It's because the roster is going to be a lot bigger than other Arcsys games. Even DBFZ which was also a tag fighter only launched with 22 characters.
So the quality of the animation is going to be nowhere close to previous Arcsys games (which imo kind of defeats the purpose of having Arcsys make a game, but at this point just slapping their logo on a licensed fighting game is enough to boost sales).

Strive tried to mimic the animations the 2D games had, except GG never had good animation, it's thing was the big beautiful sprites it had but the animation was pretty basic, in Strive everyone animates really choppily until they do a cinematic super attack and suddenly animate in a silky smooth way during it which looks strange

I would say that’s the case for Xrd which was a lot choppier but Strive really added a lot of life and love to the animations. You can feel the wind up and follow through on moves like Sol 5H and Faust Far Slash. There’s a lot of cute details like Elphelt 5P being sign language for “I love you.” While it’s overall very good what I think Granblue does better is maybe character models? Mostly the women, Metera alone has a more unique face than any Strive female character. Most Strive women look like some variant of Strive May. Granblue supers are also more bombastic though they’re a little too long for me.

Some characters are also way more popular now: GotG, Deadpool, Black Panther
But the most important part is still Spider Man and any game with him should get more than Peter and just Venom, we should also get Green Goblin and Doc Oc.
Xmen should get at least 35% of the roster of any game: Wolverine, Magneto, Jean, Cyclops, Storm and we can go way further with Beast, Rogue and Gambit.

I totally agree, so why not lesser known X-Men characters? Really, my only concern is if the character looks cool and has a cool power. I don't care how important they are. Don't even get me started on how in every battle shounen game we have to get through 20 characters of boring major characters first before getting to the actually interesting ones.

I feel like people trying to keep X-Men out of the game are fighting the wrong battle. What they should be doing is trying to keep MvC characters out of the game. ArcSys said they wanted to make characters who haven't been in a fighting game before, but all these FGCfags keep packing their rosters with MvC characters, and when you tell them that, they respond with, "Uhhh I'm just adding the obvious popular picks, dude!" To that, you should respond by pointing to the Marvel Rivals roster, which is less than 50% MvC characters.

Any Tokon roster that's 50%+ MvC characters is wrong. Rivals didn't have to do it, ArcSys said they aren't. But that doesn't mean you have to throw out the X-Men, too. Nightcrawler, Magik, Scarlet Witch, Mister Sinister, Shadowcat, Archangel, Domino, that bald teenager from the Deadpool movie, etc.

When I saw that Michael Douglas was going to play Hank I got excited because he definitely has the acting range to reach Hank's character, even that brief start where he shows his hot headedness towards that shield director was good. Its because Street Fighter has tons of orbiters thats have been pretending to play for years. People who follow the FGC but don't actually like playing fighting games, they just want to be in the cool kids club.
